The nautilus design made in steel symbolises the remains of the archaic, the signals of activity of ancient organisms. In this case, it represents the legacy of the whole history of humanity. The woman raises her arm and her body towards the sky in an attempt to flee from this legacy that tries too often to ballast and classify everything that’s feminine.
A second interpretation of this piece is the contrast between the density of the terrestrial dimension, represented by the fossil skeleton of the nautilus and the need to elevate and transcend from this dimension that all human beings have.
